About Mkweli
Mkweli is a small product studio based in Grand Baie, Mauritius. We prefer clear, usable tools over theatre.
We design, build, and publish focused digital products: Android applications, product websites, supporting backends where needed, and AI-assisted workflows for reporting and operations. Delivery is self-directed, with written scope and milestones for pilots and client work.
Founder
Gilbert Clement Bouic builds the Mkweli product line — mobile, web, and applied AI workflows. Working languages include English and French. Prior experience includes programme leadership and financial control in humanitarian organisations (including People in Need — DRC, and Cordaid). That background informs attention to offline use and auditability; current work is software product development.
A full curriculum vitae is available on request. For employment or consulting enquiries separate from product pilots, write to gilbert@mkweli.tech with a short role or brief description.

How engagement works
- Brief — product interest, users, geography, and success criteria for a pilot.
- Scope — written milestones, packaging (APK/site), and data ownership where relevant.
- Build & pilot — implement, package, and support a defined trial period.
- Decide — continue, adapt, or hand over based on field feedback.
Also
Occasional client web delivery (for example XL Highway Travel) and publications (including titles on Amazon) sit outside the product grid. Software products remain the primary focus of mkweli.tech.
